Kristen Gentry -Kristen started her career in Assisted Living as a young CNA at the age of 18. She loved working with the seniors so much, she became the Activities Director at a local assisted living just a few months later. Soon, she found a passion in helping those with a dementia and became the Memory Care Director, helping 28 residents and staff navigate the emotions that came with moving loved ones into a memory care.
Once her passion was known, she completed school with a Masters in Healthcare Administration and started working as an Executive Director at a new assisted living in southern Utah.
While she enjoyed this position very much, it was difficult for her when she had to “sell” her facility when she knew it wasn’t a good fit for potential residents. That’s when the idea of opening senior placement company became the forefront in her mind. Kristen is very passionate about helping local seniors feel empowered to choose a facility that is right for them, not where they are told to go. She enjoys the process of finding the things each client likes about the facilities and helping set them up to make the best decision they can. From there, Kristen made it clear that she wasn’t going to be “just the average placement specialist” like many here in town. She wanted to set up a system to help with the entire move-in process.
From paperwork, making sure doctors visits are complete, medications are in line, and even going to draw a layout of the apartment so the client can see what furniture will fit in their new space. Kristen loves to come visit and help on move-in day and being able to keep family feeling secure about the decision.
